Overview
We are looking for a WordPress Performance Engineer to help us push the boundaries of site speed. In this role, you will design and optimize core features that make thousands of WordPress websites load faster and achieve excellent Core Web Vitals scores.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize automatic caching, image compression, and JS/CSS handling features.
Improve Core Web Vitals and overall page load performance across different hosting environments.
Conduct performance tests and identify bottlenecks in real WordPress sites.
Ensure full compatibility with popular themes, plugins, and the latest WordPress versions.
Collaborate with the team to deliver safe, lightweight, and set-and-forget optimizations.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience optimizing WordPress performance.
Strong knowledge of caching systems, image optimization, and front-end performance techniques.
Proficiency with PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress plugin development.
Experience with Core Web Vitals, PageSpeed Insights, and performance monitoring tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver clean, efficient code.
